The 1936 Olympics were the famous (or infamous) 'Hitler' games in Berlin.
I seem to remember something controversial about the marathon. Kitei Son (Japan) won but was there something doubtful about his nationality ? _________________ Donny.

labrooy is right.
Japan had been occupying korea since they took on and beat the Russians in the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-05 (battle for Port Arthur). By 1936 it had been completely subsumed (I think).
The IOC recently (within the last decade) took the medal away from Japan and gave it to South Korea (presumably as there is no Korea to give it to, only a North and South). _________________ Scooby Doo says "I've been to Lexus too." |

Sohn Kee Chung changed his name and represented Japan in the 1936 olympics because South Korea was occupied by Japan at the time.
Which New Zealand boat beat the U.S. in the America's cup in 1995? |

And Australia won two gold medals in the 1896 Olympics (Flint in the 800 and 1500) when we did not even get Federated until 1900. _________________ Scooby Doo says "I've been to Lexus too." |

Okay,
Name the Collingwood supporter who won a bronze medal behind Carl Lewis (who was probably on the juice) in the long jump/triple jump(?) at the 1984 Olympic Games in L.A.? |
