In all respect to your goodself STOKA
I have never ever seen chris tarrant stage for a free kick _________________ Collingwood today, Collingwood tomorrow,Collingwood forever... we'll always do things the collingwood way... side by side we stick together to uphold the greatest name in football.

So if tarrant gets scragged and dragged all day and gets the same amount of free kicks as the opposing full forward it kinda justifies this public crucifixiaon on a weekly basis does it ? |
We do it to oposition players as well, look at brodie and the carlton bloke,I have forgotten his name.
Was it Camporeale. |

It concerns me too mate.
but if we won the flag for example or even today it would be far less painful that it happens, that is my point. |

I had a shit day the pies lost
The one positive thing that happened today was they beat us in the 1st quarter of football and on the scoreboard we beat them in the remaining 3 quarters
If we hadnt of let them get away to a big lead in the first quarter i believe we would of won
The other positive was once again witnessing the great calmness of chris tarrant.
We had many players down today and im allready looking forward to playing the brisbane bears in this years finals. _________________ Collingwood today, Collingwood tomorrow,Collingwood forever... we'll always do things the collingwood way... side by side we stick together to uphold the greatest name in football.

I'm not usually one for bagging the umps (toughest job in the game), but seriously, things are getting low. For weeks, I have watched opposition defenders all but dig a hole, throw Chris Tarrant in and pile the soil on top, as often as not long before the ball is anywhere near him.
Moreover, Joffa is right: Chris Tarrant is one of the fairest players going around. I have never seen him stage, never seen him biff anyone, and if there's been a question mark over him it's does he need to get more aggression into his game, not less. But he will play 150 games rather than 250 or more the way he's getting beaten up week after week. It's that serious.
Between the ruck rules, deliberate out of bounds and scragging, this year - the year of the official - has been officially the worst I've ever witnessed. The Geesh can make like an Ostrich if he wants, but if he comes up for air anytime soon he'll see the best players in the game are being strangled.

Where are we going Joe?
I said "the best players in the league are being strangled". Including, but not only, Chris Tarrant!

Spot on Joffa....whether he gets more or less free's than anyone else has got zilcho to do with it. He is constantly impeded illegally as he goes for the ball...if the free is there, pay it. Got me thinking it might be time for a Kevin sheedy like whinge from pie land to get Taz justice, nothing more, nothing less. If his name was Robert Flower, he'd have 200 marks, 300 frees and 150 goals by this stage of the season! |

Tarrant does get crucified by the umpires on regular occasions.
But at the end of the day most umpies are to scared to pay free kicks to forwards near goals , this is giving the backs the freedom of being able to scrag their opponents unfairly knowing they will be largely safe unless they rip someone's head off. |

The only other bloke i can think of that gets a similar raw deal to Tazz is Neitz and maybe Richardson. Everyone else eg Lloyd tends to act alot.
Last year at this time we were gettin humbled by the likes of the Bulldogs, Hawks and other scrappers. September is when we want to be at our very best. That said, we probably need to win the next two to secure a top 4 position. |
