We have more cars than ever on our foads.
Our carts, in the main, are safer than ever.
We have recorded a low death toll.
Yet there is an increase in speed cameras, being set at places that don't have a "black" history.
Can any government still hide behind the "safety" excuse? |

Lol.
The section of Bell Street near our house has just been reduced from 70 km/h to 60, which I found a little disappointing. I mean, part of me doesn't doubt that this decrease will save lives in the long run. But reducing it from 60 to 50 would probably save lives too. And 50 to 40. And so on.
At some point, we have to make a choice between safety and efficiency. For better or for worse, I suspect safety will win every time. And for better or for worse, our roads are only going to keep getting slower. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

If this was true, cars would have been banned and replaced by trains decades ago. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |
