He gets into places and asks questions you just don't see/hear on 60 minutes. Last weeks was 'a place for paedophiles' about this big jail, that's not a jail, that sex offenders and paedophiles go to once released from prison. Supposedly for therapy until release, but the ones that are ever released are few & far between. He's been in "mega jails", to Zimbabwe looking at the crime & corruption. Last nights was about the Nazis in America. Man, those skinheads are unreal! And they teach their kids it!!
The people he interviews are very open and honest (well, I believe them) and I personally find them engrossing. Even if sometimes the topics aren't that 'popular'.
If you have Foxtel, I'd say it's definitely worth a look. And I'm not normally a documentary/current affairs fan. I also think Louis is starting to grow on me  |
Glad you mentioned this show. it's quite brilliant isn't it?
Saw them a couple of years ago - they were on very late at night (the bebefits or not of arriving home late from work & too wired to go to bed). He's a great interviewer our Louis. Fly on the wall staff. Facinating & absorbing. Got my family into it with the San Quentin show. Have taped a few. Morbidly fascinating. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Are you still distance yourself from Sheik Hilaly and deny writing that sentence? |

That's the perfect description.
Was saddened last night to see there isn't an episode on this Sunday. |

I was given the first series of "Treme" on Blu ray for my birthday last month. Today watched a bit of the first episode. Written by the team that did "The Wire" This time set in New Orleans post the hurricane & the politics of the time. The music is something else. If you like New Orleans blues amonst other types of music - this is brilliant. On Blu ray is fantastic - had the house shakin' today.

Watching the GF of X factor.
Reese is going to have a career, Andrew is a damn good singer and even the Johhny kid is good.
The amount of confidence these guys have got over the journey is amazing. they're fair dinkum.
Good value. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Oi!
The thread has "decent" in the title.
Would have thought that excludes all "X" type shows.
12 months time you won't even remember the contestants names. |

Despite my protestations to the family years ago about watching the commercial corporatization of music I've joined the the "other side". I've been following it with my family & worse taking an active interest.
I confess I love Reece. He has an amazingly sophisticated voice for a 16 yr old. How that bloody Johnny got through I'll never now - can't sing one would have thought a pre-requisite, & I was upset when they stupidly voted out three wishez last week ( I confess I watch it).
I'm with Stui on this one.

Agreed. Thought it was one of the better Australian shows. A pity really. |
