First out of the current side is clearly Phillips! Phillips for Adams.

It's less clear who is the next one to make way.

WE simply cannot win this game, we just don't have the necessary ammo, if Fasolo and Taylor adams were playing, and Jamie Elliott, wed be in with a shot, but not now. Best we can hope for is being competitive, have a red hot go, and go down by around 20 points or so.

Fasolo and Adams will play. Wink

But I do agree, can't see us winning this game, even if they do come back, GWS are the real deal now, as we aren't, simple.

Might be a tall order for Fasolo to be recalled after just getting back into training. Also who does he replace? The obvious ones are White for Cox. Adams for Phillips.

Then it gets harder. Aish has to stay in the side. Smith's been playing well. Blair won't go out of the side. Williams has been the least performed of the backmen, but his replacement ought to be Marsh, not Fasolo.

A possibility would be replacing Cox with Fasolo, but that gives us a smaller forward line. For once this season we have some selection headaches to decide our best 22 to take on GWS.

$9 with $ back if we lose and were leading at any break is value.

we need a smaller forward line it's been raining for 2 days up here with showers set to continue. We need in and under extractors.

5 changes, with 2 players being managed 2 weeks after a bye.

Ok then. Rolling Eyes

Surprised to see the Sack omitted. I thought he was in our top 5-8 players last Sat. Though I guess his opponent, Silvagni, got a fair bit of it too, so perhaps that explains it. A 150 game player like Goldie should have pulverised a newbie.

On paper that side looks damn strong. But it is probably underdone, too.

While I think Goldsack is a little bit stiff to be omitted I do think this is the best team we could have picked. Fasolo could be a little underdone, but he's done enough during the year to deserve to get back into the team. We'll give it our best shot against GWS and I like the defensive pressure we applied against Carlton. But GWS is a much better team than Carlton. This is going to be a very tough match to win.

Caffs last chance to show he still offers something at senior level? Think I'd prefer Greenwood not be managed this week.

Harsh on Sack and Williams but it shows that if you don't bring it there'll be a price to pay.

Would prefer guys returning from injury to do so via the VFL, especially soft tissue injuries like Adams, but overall a better looking team on paper, if underdone.

Adams is definitely ready to play. Shown enough at training the last two weeks to demonstrate he is ready to play. Doesn't mean his hamstring won't go again, but that could happen anyway. To me Fasolo is the unknown quantity. He could be OK, maybe not, but sometimes you need to take risks. Greenwood will benefit from the rest. He had no real opponent anyway. Macaffer deserves his chance. He could very well be playing for his career so I hope he plays well. I doubt if Greenwood and Macaffer could play in the same team so another benefit in giving Greenwood a rest.

Smacks of desperation rushing Adams and Fasolo back. Really, to what purpose? They can't be match fit.

Just a stab in the dark - I'm guessing trying to 'save ones coaching career' is the answer.
