Good call a few teams have used this tactic against us this year . We did it effectively with Maxwell on Scott Thompson in the 2008 Elimination Final. Time we gave it another crack. _________________ " Ohhh Banksy and out comes the Note Book".

I reckon that might be a role for White. FFS, we've got to find some use for him, and for a bloke of his size, he's actually very fast and mobile. |

Play Grundy as a midfielder at times.
Strange but he can play that role I believe. |
Made a similar point about White, certainly think there's merit in trialling these things, particularly this year. |

Agree on White, keep him involved rather than allow him to drift out of the game. Grundy certainly worth a try. Counters the trend that seem's to be emerging this season of the opposition ruckman just holding Witts/Grundy out of the contest allowing the 3rd man up better access. |

After seeing the last two matches on the GC, I am not heading up this year.
2013/14, our players treated it like holiday, if you ask me.
We should win this year, based on the Suns injury list, but you never know.
I will watch on Fox Footy from the comfy confines of my lounge this year. _________________ Social club member 7342 since 2000. |

I haven't attended matches up in the Gold Coast but I can't imagine how awful the last two years was for our interstate supporters in Queensland and for those that travelled up there.
This hasn't been a happy hunting ground in recent times so we really need to get the monkey off the back with a strong performance this weekend. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Yep we got to turn up this week and play a much smarter and harder brand of footy. Goldsack must step up along with White. Seedsman will hopefully be better. _________________ " Ohhh Banksy and out comes the Note Book".

It's about time we got to play the suns at home.
Having said that there injury list is even larger than ours and given there form I'll be majorly surprised and gutted if we can't beat them.
Can't afford to drop 3 in a row and really need a win to restore confidence heading into the game against North. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

All I can remember is Clinton Young dropping a sitter in front of our goals just before the siren. It was game over. |

You need at least two things going for you as a player to start in the middle:
Express pace or change of pace (Swan and maybe Adams)
Endurance (Pendlebury, Crisp, Greenwood, Sidebottom)
Or combination of both (Dangerfield best example)
Witts and White have neither so simply won't work trialing White or Witts/Grundy in the centre. |
