Well finally it is over and as most predicted a change in Government. I must say I am surprised the emphatic victory by the ALP.

Good luck to Rudd and his team for all Australians we can now only cross our fingers and hope they deliver.

I just want to say how much i have enjoyed the discussion on here and it was good (in most cases) to have personal abuse limited.

Politics sucks as far as I am concerned, and whoever runs the country ends up stuffing up after 4-6 years or so. And a change normally occurs. Democracy I do love and it is great that most on here had the dignity to respect eachothers position.

Thanks to all, I had fun.

So when will we actually know the final results? I notice there are 7 seats with less than .5% in it at this time

Cheers, if Liberal held on to all those 6 seats and maybe even won Swan, what would the final makeup of the house be?

It would be about 83 to 63 or there abouts.
But labor are in front in 6 of those 7 seats, so it looks as though it will be 89 to 58 or there abouts

Exactly Peter, nothing special in EBB's figure.
I would expect as a business he was able to rort the tax system a lot more than PAYG citizens, therefore pay less.

I see Liberals have taken the lead in 5 of the 7 close seats and also McEwen sees the Libs back in front as well
