it took us about 15 mins to relize we had a game on after roosters got the 1st 4 goals.
the players lead out to the wings all the time to get a kick. when a player does have the ball they do look in the middle but there is no one there as our players have made leads to wings to get that cheap kick. then the other team gets and bring it down the middle and get the goal.
there was about 3-5 times where a rooster player got the ball from their half back line 3 bounces down the middle of ground |

As some have already stated, some of the senior players had ordinary games. Cook, Corrie, Barham, O'B and to a lesser extent McCarthy and Buckley are expected to provide more.
Fraser, Wood, Macaffer and Medhurst were good without being great.
Compare the efforts of this group with Jones, Edwards, Smith, Hale etc from the Roosters. Chalk and cheese. Even our VFL listed players offered more.
The flip side is that some of the kids are starting to put good consistent efforts together. Rounds was absolutely sensational and backed up his listing as an emergency for the seniors. Young & Reed are coming along nicely. Thomas, Sinclair, Keefe, Blight (despite a torid time minding Edwards) and Hunter all show signs. |

We really lacked key defensive players, with Jack & Goldy playing in the firsts. I thought Rounds, Thomas & Sinclair were good. Medders did some good things, but seems to lack a bit of confidence in his kicking. If I were to bring one players into the firsts next week, it would be Rounds _________________ Swan is down, Swan kicks the goal! And everything here will be a Magpie celebration!

Key ommissions from the game were Jarryd Blair, Jack Anthony and Tyson Goldsack for me. But North Ballarat are the best team in the VFL and proved why on Saturday.
Pics from the game...

Age, experience and size is why we haven't beaten them yet. We are essentially an under age team competing against fully matured players. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

While not his best game, he continues to show things that give confidence that he can be a longer term player. Took a nice grab 20 out directly in front and had to hand it over to fraser who got a free. That sort of a day. |

Josh is an awesome pick up and is pressing for senior selection already. Very composed with the ball with good disposal and decision making. _________________ "MAKE COLLINGWOOD GRATE AGAIN" |
