Quote: | GEELONG has knocked back the chance to host a blockbuster game against a powerful Melbourne club at Skilled Stadium next season.
The Cats want the AFL to try and meet their requirement of having eight home games in Geelong, one more than they currently have under the draft fixture.
However, Geelong president Frank Costa confirmed yesterday the club had rejected an option to move one of their scheduled home games in Melbourne against either Collingwood, Carlton, Hawthorn or Essendon to Skilled Stadium to meet their demands. |
Probably know they will be more people at a MCG game then down at Sleep Hallow _________________ I am Da Man |

It means we have the cats twice. Im guessing we will get the hawks twice, and the usual bombers and blues. You would think we will get the dogs twice considering they play us round 1. If this happens we are two team short, hopefully they are melbourne and north melbourne _________________ Like Nicks, why not donate

So they have 11 home games and 8 have to be played at skilled - if they want that then they have to either move one of the Collingwood, Carlton, Hawthorn or Essendon games or lose one of them for an extra skilled game against a lesser drawing team. Either that or one unlucky team will have to play their own home game against geelong at skilled. Geelong really suck, don't you agree? _________________ McRae for Governor-General! |

When was the last time we played there?? was it 1999??
Why would anyone want the fixture now (or in 2010)?? _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
