I don't think Swan's possessions were all that damaging. Didak and Racer on the other hand... exhilarating! |
I won't argue with you assessment of Racer. My goodness he's come on in leaps and bounds this year. You're right, a really damaging player now. |
Its his long runs down the flanks that opposition teams can't counter _________________ The one man in the world, who never believes he is mad, is the madman. |

3: Dane Swan - massive first quarter to get us started well, didn't stop in quarters 2, 3 or 4. And kicked goals instead of points this week. Just an excellent game.
2: Shane O'Bree - hard at the ball inside the worst of the packs, ran all day outside the packs to make space, to mark, to tackle, to help his mates out, and to put his body on the line, even when the result was beyond doubt.
1: Chris Bryan - Despite getting as badly slaughtered in the hitouts as Fraser, Bryan added genuine bone-crunching hardness in the middle, quick hands and enormous dash and enthusiasm (you just can't fault his effort), did more than meets the casual eye in general play around the ground and - most of all - stood up and took several team-steadying marks in the middle of big packs.
Very unlucky to miss out: Davis and Didak - both played excellent games, mixing breathtaking footskills with hard running and accountable play. But it's 3 2 1 Swan, O'Bree and Bryan for me. |
