Post subject: Who's going to win the World Cup? | |
|
well, it's tough to know who to support, seeing as australia is not there. but I reckon, even though the england fans will disagree vehemently, that argentina will win the world cup. they were most impressive through the sth american qualifiers and have lots of great players in their side, players that seem to do well in any league that they play in.
france will be many people's favourite for the cup and I hope england do well, but my pick of the teams from europe is portugal. they play an entertaining style of football, and are a great team to watch when on song.
as for support, I will probably go for an underdog, like the co-host nation japan, I quite like Nakata it will be great for the country if they do well.
good thing that the world cup is in japan/korea as it means us aussies can watch the matches live, at a decent hour!
