the one we have is a newer version of an older logo i think Dave, that logo excisted when the VFl wanted all clubs to have shields.
Still a nice logog but i prefer our present design

I've never really known another logo (I don't think anyway...), I like the one now.

The one we have now is the best. Full of class. Makes us look like a real football side. All the other clubs have mickey mouse ones.

Totally agree Dave. I think this is our best logo. The one we have at the moment is still good, but this one is better.
The thing is ours hasn't changed much compared to alot of other teams. The magpie is still the same, and we include the aussie flag.

100% agree Dave......By far my favourite Logo, being a 80's man I grew up with that logo and immense pride whenever I see it 
We changed our logo in 1992 for the Centenery celebrations and kept that logo till this day.

The greatest logo we didnt get to have was the one with Two magpies, which would have made perfect sense, we dont shout out go pie or go magpie. Cant recall why it was rejected maybe someone else can throw some light onto this enquiry ?

in fighting and racial troubles amongst themselves, which is why South melbourne is like to be the enxt vic club not just them though all the nSL clubs really had racial problems.
Still i enjoy the odd whittlesea zebra or preton lions match every now and then
