I think the more relevant question would be, does having assets prevent you from receiving a pension? _________________ I would be ashamed to admit that I had risen from the ranks. When I rise it will be with the ranks... - Eugene Debs |

It should, most definitly.Centrelink have very strict rules on assets when applying for a pension or any benefit from them, everything is means tested. |
first off, where did the money come from in the first place! and if gifted, they need to know and if they don't, the data match system will pick the mis match up eventually! and wonder if the buisness has been declared! Perhaps a copy paste needs to be sent to the tip off line to push it along. https://secure.centrelink.gov.au/tors/index.cfm _________________ "whaaa whaaaaaa! |

Funnily enough, Eddiesmith's bank balance and earnings have never really interested me that much...
as for the actual thread... doesn't make all that much difference, does it? Labor still have the majority in the house of reps, so I don't really care whether the Liberals have pulled back a seat or not. I hope the deserving victor gets the seat, whoever that is.... but I sense a few more re-counts to come. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |
