Identity Theft is becoming a huge problem. I know a few people now who have had huge issues after the theft of their identity. Sheriff Officer’s banging at the door over debts they know nothing about is just a tip of the iceberg. Best way to avoid this type of theft is to shred all material like bills, bank statements etc before you place them in the rubbish. Report any lost or stolen credit cards etc straight away. Watch who you give your info to. If you use EBAY, use pay pal or something similar for all your transactions. If your identity gets stolen you will have to prove who you are not prove that the other person is not who they say they are.

The Government issuing sim card type passports is a recipe for identity theft big time.
