Hey, just wait till July next year when George Pell and "90 something" preists import 2000 youths, for world youth day. All sorts, different colours too, maybe nuxta will be there in support for George.

They'll treat it like most people treat a smörgåsbord's.

You can imagine Pell walking along saying "oh, I'll have that one, no wait, that one over there, no no I've changed my mind, I'll have that little one"

Pot, kettle, black? Or are some kinds of religious vilification more ok than others? Confused

Of course they are. When extreme islamists bag Christians, most people collectively roll their eyes and get on with stuff. When a newspaper published cartoons taking the piss out of the prophet, Islamists tried to burn the country down.

What, aren't Christians allowed to eat frankfurters?

Any why would you use a disgusting racial slur to try and highlight your lame point?

You're good Frank. Shameless deflection is a great quality for a politician to have, I'd look into the job if I were you.

But I'll grant you this much... you made me look.

"The pot calling the kettle black: Said of someone accusing another of faults similar to those committed by the accuser. The allusion is to the old household in which the copper kettle would be kept polished, while the iron pot would remain black. The kettle's bright side would reflect the pot. The pot, seeing its reflection, would thus see black, which would appear to be on the side of the kettle. The pot could then accuse the kettle of a fault it did not have." Source: Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable, 1870, revised by Adrian Room (Millennium Edition)

Horrible.

So, if the pot was really black, did that mean the kettle wore his cap backwards, his pants down to his knees (with the top of his boxers showing) and pretended to be the pot?

Since this thread is loosley about the subject of race, thought I'd just make an observation about multiculturalism.

Went to the Thomastown Market this morning and even though I go there quite a bit, I couldn't help but be struck once I paid attention to the absolute mix of races and cultures.

Anglo's were well in the minority.
there were plenty of european extraction (Greek, Italian, Turk etc)
Plenty of middle eastern
Few Asians and even a few African's

Looking around, you see blokes in suits (probably straight from church) brushing past blokes in overalls and standard casual; Blokes in traditional islamic gear and women with the hajib on walking past young girls in shorts and singlets; a 6 foot 7 very black african wandering around holding a 4 foot long jemmy bar in his hand (I first thought it was a walking stick but he didn't limp), and basically no one gives anyone else a second glance. Everyone appears completely tolerant of difference race and culture.

I just thought it's a great advert for Australia.

I like it to. But I refuse to pay inflated prices for beer that is made in no different way to bog standard VB.
