Hahaha! Nah i knew you weren't saying they were satanic, I'm just laughing in my head at comments that are thrown at me up here. There are way too many conservatives in Sydney, and it doesn't help with the fact that I drive to work every day, geed up, listening to "So What" by Metallica, with all the windows down.

It was actually Metallica and Sabbath that got me where I am today, and helped me stand up to people etc. If it wasn't for their music, I don't think I would of got through my problems.

What I love about Metal these days is that there are a lot of younger people, (younger than me) getting into all of the old school stuff: Judas Priest, Sabbath, Maiden, Motorhead etc etc. And Rolling Stone magazine thought Metal was dead! It's coming back in full force.

Well you have good taste in music. And long live heavy metal! Also it is not Heavy metal, but try The ramones, the Clash and Echo and the Bunnymen on for size. I put my younger nieces onto them and they have put their friends onto it. Some modern music is just lacking balls.

The Ramones and The Clash are awesome.

I hate this Nu-Metal garbage. Especially when people try to class bands like Hinder and Nickelback into the Metal/Hard Rock/Rock n Roll category. These bands are grunge, huge difference. It's a shame that there are so many talentless hacks out there these days.

If you want to hear great new, young and fresh Rock n Roll, look up Airbourne and Hell City Glamours on MySpace. Airbourne is the next AC/DC (if you haven't already heard of them they've been supporting Rose Tattoo and Motorhead, and have just gone to the US to tour), and Hell City Glamours are a friends band of mine in Sydney.
