I thought they went over the top with fireworks and playing the Bummers song when they lost.

Two absolute Icons of the game IMHO. Lets show a little class here hey, same as what we did with Kouta. I would expect Collingwood to do something very similar for Bucks when his time is up.
Despite them losing and not making the finals, I am sure both will be sitting back tonight and taking some comfort out of the Premierships they have won. |

oh i don't mind the celebrations...
to play the song after a loss though is pretty strange. to me anyways. i wouldn't expect that for buckley
knowing bucks he would have his head down if he lost, wouldn't be in the mood to celebrate anything lol |

Shouldn't have played the song...Who cares at the end of the day there was only 90,000 people there because of Sheed's and Hird so they are entitled to do whatever they like seeing they filled the stadium! lol _________________ Tradition? They only played the Essendon song as Sheedy and Hird were fnally walking off the field. At the end of the game the Richmond song was played a couple of times as per usual, then Sheedy and Hird each did a lap of honour before being cheered off while both teams provided an honour guard - quite a touching send off IMHO. |

Each to their own, but from what I've read, it sounds a little over the top.
I mean, fireworks. Come on.
And this isn't just because it's another team... when Bucks plays his last game, a guard of honour type thing would be perfectly appropriate, being chaired off the ground, etc, but I don't see any need to go any further than that.
I have a feeling he'd agree. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
