depends if they are wireless or cable. I think the tech heads here would have a better idea.
Hang on a minute Kaylene, are you telling me that when you go on holidays to queensland, your going to waste time online? |
Only to find out the footy score Jacqui! Maybe a more sensible idea will be people sms's me the scores!

I want to be there now Stui!!!! Daughter number 1 sent me an email today with the temp forcast of 26 degrees today up north! Sure beats the hail and freezing winds we have here at the moment!
Thansk for all the input. That whirlpool site is a whole new world to me, will take some researching thats for sure. _________________ Kaylene.

Think of the people who work in these industries, as I said in my (edited) post, this is the reason companies outsource overseas. I'd rather have the jobs stay here in Australia thank you and keep people here employed. |
Actually just started training for my new job and yes it is 24/7 |

My friend! You are being ripped.
I pay $79.95 per month for 1500/264 20/20 GB!
Thats 20Gb betweem 7am and midnight and 20Gb from midnight to 7am.
Throttled if you go over the limit, but only throttled for the 20Gb that you have broken.

Been with this mob for over 2 years and they are excellent. Never had an outage, never had a tech problem.
I pity anyone who are with Telstra. As soon as you can get the hell out of your contract. |
How's that being ripped? I have the same plan (it's actually 12GB now Stui ) which at 17000 kb/s, is 11 times faster than your connection (I've tested it and regularly hits over 19000).
You can test your connection speed here at http://www.speedtest.net/
Telstra also have a heap of unmetered sites which would cover a lot of your surfing needs. You can find them here at http://bigpond.com/unmetered/
Of course it's all relative to how use the net _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood.

I don't have access to ADSL2 or cable, so ADSL is my only option.
You are getting ripped because of the actual content amount you can have. For a mere $9.95 extra you get (according to the original post) 4 times the download allowance. That's more than worth 10 bucks.
As you say, it's all about how you use the net. I'm not a "gamer", which is the only way I could ever need those speeds. |
