It was closed apart from a few cars and everyone had to park in the city.
Damn nightmare trying to get out of an underground car park into Flinders Lane with 10000 cars all trying to get out at once into a small one way street already clogged by traffic... |
SEN was telling everyone the carpark was full by 11:30am but I headed to the Punt rd entrance and it was mostly empty, was plenty of parking, although I got in at 12
I had that same problem though at the Saints game, sounds like you parked in the same carpark I did that day |

A melways doesnt guide you the whole way, much safer the GPS as it doesnt require looking at it and distracting you from the road, plus it tells you where all the speed cameras are |
Now the speed camera's would be worth it, but I assume they only tell you where the fixed cameras are and not the mobile ones??
If that's the case, you can get lists of those anyway. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Apparently someone working for the MCC did see them but by the time they got the cops the thieves were gone and they couldnt describe them but they were wandering around with something very obvious for smashing windows |

Cars with visible alarm mechanisms are statistically far less likely to be targetted by thieves. |
If there is no security around an alarm is useless all it will do is go off most of the day. |

I don't know about you Melbournians, but the speed camera system in Canberra is pretty bizarre.
For every intersection with a fixed camera, there is a big sign before the intersection warning people of its presence. What's the point? True, it makes people slow down and all that, but you'd have to be a bit of a dill to actually get caught on one of those things.
And those vans are always easy to spot, although they sometimes put them over hills. Always worthwhile to keep an eye out for those _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

I noticed that in NSW, was quite funny We have warning signs of most red light cameras, but alot is just speed cameras operate in this area
As for the cameras on cars, usually pretty easy to spot during the daytime |

Funny enough until 3 months ago I had NFI what Melways is... Then again I am not from Melbourne so I can escape.....sorta.... |

Yeah Prototype, I was in a Sydney office a few years ago and had to walk to a different office and asked to have a look at their Melways so I could get the map in my head cos the directions didn't make sense.
They looked at me stupid and said "you mean Sydways"

Expensive though. My gfs family are friends with the guy that runs Melways - that's why I knew they had just released it.
I've got a PDA with Tomtom installed on it. |
