Alf, even "international cosmopolitan personas" need "humble" beginings so as not to end up disappearing up ones rectum whilst swanning around with the jetsetters!!! Also keeps you in with Tony Blair and the "new Labour" crew!!!! One's not from Sarf Yarrah dahlink!

Yep, no train line always meant that Waverly was doomed. No club will want to use it as a home base until then.

How much does laying rail track cost in the suburbs? Does not really matter, in the end, as it is the land that would be the killer. Imagine all the uproar and protests against the compulsory acquisitions, that assumably would be needed.

We have had some monumental idiots running our game, but the ones responsible for building a "modern" stadium away from a major mass transit facility take the cake.

Um, John Cain went on to be a member of the MCC Trust (the governing body of the MCG) after stitching the Grand Final up for them.
