Eddie Wanted Bucks to have Number 1

Eddie wanted Bucks to have Numebr 1 because he wanted the club to return to the tradition of the captain having number 1 , but he wanted to keep his famous number 5 . Which he has made famous!!!!

I'm happy Nath is keeping No. 5. Imagine the unplucking that mums would have to do across the nation, to change all the #5's over to #1!!!!

I'm not so sure it's a good idea that our captains all wear #1. I like the idea of a player making a certain number his own - he shouldn't change it midway through his career, for any reason.

Eddie - Nathan I think, as captain, you should now wear #1
Nathan - Why?
Eddie - I'm trying to bring back the tradition of all Collingwood captains wearing No. 1
Nathan - Well, that's a good idea Ed, but sorry I just can't do it.

Nathan - Because that would mean that my biggest fan, Kristin, would have to change her userid/login on various websites, and I can't have that happen. I wouldn't want to cause her any trouble. So I'll just keep the #5.

Anthony, fortunately when I got my tattoo, I resisted the urge to put a number 5 on it - you wouldn't believe how many people told me to have the #5 on it though! Knowledge of my obsession runs far and wide!

Im all in favour of this tradition continuing after Bux retires as captain but Nathan Charles Buckley is number 5, we couldnt have it any other way with him
