This is pretty amazing. I've done a philosophy unit focusing on just this sort of thing, and it was GREAT.
I highly recommend that you check out the article. If you can wade through the details of the experiment, its incredible stuff.

Strange as it sounds, retrocausality is perfectly permissible within the known laws of nature. It has been debated for decades, mostly in the realm of philosophy and quantum physics. | http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/01/21/ING5LNJSBF1.DTL _________________ I would be ashamed to admit that I had risen from the ranks. Sherrife, did you study philosophy at the ANU? I'm in my first year course of philosophy now. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Nah Dave, I'm at Monash in Melbourne, was only at ANU for an internship.
Enjoying the unit so far? What does it cover? I was going to major in philosophy before realising that the higher up you get in the year levels, the more abstract and theoretical it becomes.
I'm not sure how you go from amazingly interesting stuff about bioethics, time travel, and cosmology in first year to arguing about the semantics of "I think therefore I am" (Descartes) and other 300 year old philosophical texts in second. _________________ I would be ashamed to admit that I had risen from the ranks. We're actually covering Descartes at the moment, basically we're just briefly going through philosophy in a historical sense, so I assume we'll be covering more in-depth issues later on in the semester.
But, yeah, I am really enjoying it. Apart from everything else, it's really great to get into debates in the tutorials, as you can get some really varied opinions on things.
My Dad went to Monash, by the way. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Yea it's the best, plus philosophy students are always great to bum around with for hours after class talking about anything and everything. _________________ I would be ashamed to admit that I had risen from the ranks. When I rise it will be with the ranks... - Eugene Debs |

This retrocauseality, this theory that something we do today can effect the past cannot be true. If it were possible we would do whatever it took to change all those past grand final loses _________________ Genesis 1:1 |
