This is a real tear wrenching story.

Any parent thinks of this situation every time their child leaves the house, and doesn't stop thinking until they are safely home. This man's son was an innocent victim. Thank goodness he is ok.

this should be plastered in schools, in universities, in workplaces, just everywhere. Everyone needs to read this.

Thanks Kaylene for finding it.

Great article, cheers fan4collingwood. Agreed, PP, it would be worth it even if it made just a few people think twice before doing something stupid on the road.

I drove past that accident just as the ambo's were pulling up. It was not a pretty sight. Its funny, i don't live in the area, but i was at a roller skating place just down the road and decided to go a different way home... and there on the other side of the road was a twisted mangle of cars... It was dark so we didn't notice the people, but geeez itss enough to scare the bajeebiez out of ya!

The same kind of accident happend in Mt.Eliza, and the guy that got killed was part of my group of friends... needless to say, it took a death to stop the boys being idiots... And now the one who was driving is in jail...

I just don't understand the need for people to behave recklessly in machines that can cause death as easily as those you need hours and hours of monitored training and many lengthy exams to use. People just don't understand how dangerous cars really are!

I know my school had a huge program in place called "Fit to drive" that really hammered it in about the dangers of driving... etc... we were made to watch videos of what happens after an accident and what the victims, families and friends all go to... needless to say that WAS after the death of one of the students (mentioned above) and cause huge distress amongst the students... But sometimes thats necessary...
