The best part about the filth's loss is that they had practically a full side on the park (minus their superstars; Allan, Fevola and Martyn).

It's a sad story when an All-star team that has never played together before can pump you by that much.... apparently emotions were running high for the All-star team before the match, and they were really fired up for it.

Leon kicked 2 goals and featured in the best, setting up a couple of other goals and showed some slick disposal. Richie Cole kicked 1 goal, but was pretty quiet.

I was really impressed with Leon - if he can be as busy in our forward line without getting in the way of the big boys he'll create a lot of goals.

I don't hink anything has changed for Carlton - the didn't run, they didn't talk, they had no game plan, they wouldn't know what a leading player was to save them, in short all signs good for this season!!

Its early days......By round 1 Pagan will have a fairly competitive unit im sure.

Don't forget last year we had a very slow start to the year and built up as season went

jlc

Symonds picked on potential for the fifth year running ;)

Essendon 2000 premiers
2001 runners up
2002 fifth
