Tribute to AC/DC's Bon Scott

DAVE Evans, the original and sacked lead singer of Australian rock outfit AC/DC, will perform at a tribute concert for Bon Scott in Perth next month.

Scott, who died in February 1980, became frontman after Evans's departure in 1974.

Evans recorded the band's first two singles, Can I Sit Next To You, Girl and Baby, Please Don't Go, before leaving to join Newcastle glam rockers Rabbit.

Evans, who now lives in the US, will return to Australia, joining rock bands Rose Tattoo, the Angels and the Screaming Jets for the Claremont Showgrounds concert on February 25.
