Several years ago Nick buggered off, lured away from his website by his love of music; they've been inseparable ever since.

For those of you who remember who Nick is (and may remember him getting his first guitar) and are interested in what he may be doing these days: Nick's band, Purlieu, has just recorded its first album - self-titled. The music is a mix of styles with the heavy alternative rock that Nick loves best occasionally showing through.

Purlieu is:

Nick Wilson - vocals, guitar
Cameron Sherriff - drums
Matthew Pike - bass

Music & lyrics: Nick Wilson

You deserve to hear it first, so this is the first public release of the music from the album.

Have a listen:
01. Smoggot 9:32 8.7mb
02. (It's a) Track Too 1:55 1.8mb
03. Purlieu 7:45 7.1mb
04. Storm 9:29 8.7mb
05. Them 8:31 7.8mb
06. The Valid Harum-Scarum 11:03 10.0mb
07. Disco Spu 1:55 1.8mb
08. Hangover 6:16 5.7mb
09. Ripping Limbs 20:06 18.4mb

Haven't had a chance to listen to them yet, but are these guys trying to take the title of epic length songs from Meat Loaf?
