Love that movie David , one of many great films made in the 70's starring De Niro. Sadly, since then most have been fairly ordinary (apart from a couple of good comedys) with their lame plots and typically cliched dialogues saved only by his great acting.
It was also the first of many appearances starring with his mate Joe Pesci _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Pesci is awesome in Casino. He plays the gangster role better than anyone. |

Sad about Lester, was a great fighter in his day. And yes Raging Bull was a brillant film. _________________ " Ohhh Banksy and out comes the Note Book".

yeah, what is the deal with De Niro these days? Seems to have picked up a string of bad movies in recent years (Hide and Seek, Godsend, Analyze This...)
I found Raging Bull a little too depressing for my taste but it was a very well-made film. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Didaicos, did you know De Niro was actually very close to being cast as Sonny Corleone in Godfather I. Now that would have been something. They went with Caan because he was better known. |
