A friend rang in tears this morning it appears the company she works for doesnt believe in honoring its committment to its 100 production employees, the lowly paid full time rag trade employees they last recieved a pay packet the thursday before christmas and were promised that there next pay would be in the bank, believe this..27 th december, as of sat 28th december still no money in the bank..and these very worried people dont go back until the 13th jan..apparantly its headquarters is also shut until then.

So before we go union bashing again ( these people are not in any union ) think about the hardship and worry these people are going through and if your wearing a 'kookai label' i hope your feelin pretty good.

TOUCH ONE
TOUCH ALL.

That's pathetic, I can't believe how heartless company's can be. I realise there's a bottom line but this example is just gutless.

Tragic story Joffa and all too familiar these days.
Perhaps it is time they did join a union. They would handle the issue on their behalf.
Worth considering????

Last xmas my son had 3 weeks holiday from the meat works, like the rest of the employees,he resumed on jan 8th only to find the gates locked and a sign saying the company had gone busto.

its a sign of the times im afraid profit before loyalty.

In situations like this, the courts have to rip asunder the "corporate veil" and grab the principals assets and distribute them to the workers.

It was never intended for incorporation to be used fraudently like this.

Rule 1. Barrack for Collingwood
Rule 2. See rule 1.
Rule 3. There is no rule 3.
