HALL OF FAME
Collingwood's 1929 VFL premiership team has been singled out for a unique honour, 73 years after it became the first to go through a home-and-away season unbeaten.
It is the first football team to be officially recognised by the SPORTS AUSTRALIA HALL OF FAME, and is in illustrious company.
The old Magpies join - among others - Don Bradman's 1948 Ashes team, the crew that wrested yachting's America's Cup off the US in 1983 and several of the greratest Olympic gold medal combinations in athletics, swimmingm hockey and rowing.....
Collingwood's 1929 team, unbeaten except for the second semi-final, and the winner of the third of an unprecedented four successive flags.
How about that..... GO THE MIGHTY PIES!!
