In regards to the earliest and latest finishes to a season, I'll give the date - can anyone give the year?
1.September 2nd (earliest)
2.October 20th (latest)

Next name the six venues that the Grand Final has been played at.

September 2, was in 2000 (cos of the Olympics)

I'll guess that October 20 may have been in war times???

As for the 6 venues, I have no idea! Obviously MCG, Waverley, I think Juntion Oval was used once and probably Optus too...then I'm struggling. Has Vic Park hosted a GF?

1.There is another season that finished on September 2nd, and October 20 was not in a war year.

i may be waaaaaaay off the mark but wasn't the 1990 grand final held in October???????. If i'm wrong then i have just given everyone here a jolly good laugh hee hee.

No not Punt Rd.A hint - this ground was only used once.

1923- October 20. Ess V Fitzroy. The GF was supposed to be played on Oct 13, but was postponed one week due to rain! September 2 was the season of 1916??? When 4 teams battled it out and Fitzroy finished last and won the flag in the same year.

Well done BJ - The six grounds (Junction Oval,East Melbourne Cricket Ground,Lake Oval,Princes Park,MCG,Waverley).The earliest finish to a season 1916 (September 2nd),the latest finish to a season 1923 - October 20th (postponed for one week due to bad weather).
