A friend gave me the URL for MP3 Direct Cut. Thought I'd share it with you all.

I've made myself some fantastic ringtones. You don't have to convert anything at all. Just play and cut.

How old are you? In the context of don't let the door hit your arse on the way out, I don't understand "post the url i want to go to this site. "

My phone supports Mp3s directly. What's the difference?

Joel i think it's just an MP3 splitter program.

To all: you can get freeware versions of the program she's talking about (i'm not sure if its free) just google "mp3 splitter" and download the smallest program you find, they're all the same and it's an easy process.

Basically what it does is allow you to select a section of an MP3 file and extract it into a new mp3 file with just your chosen section, pretty nifty if your fav song has a long intro you want out or an awesome solo you want to isolate.

You can download a mobile phone handset program for your computer, if you have a data link cable hooked upto your phone via the computer you can make your mp3 ringtones that way.

well all i did was use the MP3s I had, cut what I wanted as a ring tone and then just moved it across to my phone folder while it was connected to my pc.

didn't have to download anything. I just wanted some decent ringtones and this enabled me to do so.

so, now i have Scissor Sisters Filthy Gorgeous as my ringtone for most people. Collingwood theme song for when Mum rings and Sinead O'Connor's version of Sacrifice for my daughter. Not sure who to allocate Pink's U and UR Hand to lol
