Post subject: Do we have the balls and Hart that Adelaide have? | |
|
Adelaide made a tough but strong decision with Ben Hart. Would have hurt them badly to tell him but that takes courage and ticker.
So do the Pies have the same courage as Adelaide. Are these types of decisions the difference between long term success and failure? _________________ Buon Giorno |

I don't think we have that courage.
If we did Licuria, Lockyer & Wakelin would have played their last games. _________________ Get back on top. |

Can't compare these guys with Hart. While he has been a great player, his body is stuffed. He is the wrong side of 30 and continually breaks down with injury. |

Lockyer and Licuria worth something? Rubbish. We keep them because they are loved. Was Woewodin inferior to them? Not by much if at all. Was Betheras loved any less? No way. If Betheras goes, they should go. But they won't now will they? _________________ Get back on top. |

Lets face it, Crows will do what it takes, they are hurting badly and they won 2 GFs in LATE 90's.
We are carrying Harts and we haven't won for 16 years.
I think this speaks volumes for the difference between the CULTURES of the 2 clubs at present. _________________ Buon Giorno |

Wakelin i agree has done his dash...however Licuria and Lockyer are still required players.
Our midfield is the problem at the moment, and you want to get rid of 2 of the core players out of it??? Until we get something better, we may as well keep this proven performers whilst we rebuild the midfield. WIthout these 2, our midfield is even worst. We will have absolutely no depth whatsoever.
I agree that these guys should be faded out. They should not be walk up starts. If they are out of form, they should be dropped to williamstown, and should be fighting hard for their positions. However, until we get better midfielders, they are required players, even if it is just for depth.
Remember Didak and Holland will miss a chunk of next year as well. We will not have a midfield without Lockyer, Licuira, Holland and Didak next year. Then we are also talking about delisting Rowe, Yakka etc. We will be a team of KPP's only.
Before we delist these guys, lets make sure there is some quality players ready to slot straight into the middle. I agree we should not be leaving out guys like Pendles, Isles, Thomas who play well in reserves to continue playing Licca and Lockyer however. _________________ There's more to life than footy.........just not much more. |

Licca's still worth plenty to this list, as is Wakes.
But I'd be offering Tarks and Lonie up for trade. I'm pretty sentimental when it comes to players, and these two are part of the 2002 and 2003 GF sides, and Lonie was sensational in the '02 finals series, but I've got no clue where all that spark has gone.
Like them both, but I'm sure they could be used as bargaining chips. |
