Post subject: Footy stamina kept capsize hero going | |
|
A BOY, 14, who survived swimming about 3km in rough seas after his boat capsized and then walked barefoot for 4km to seek help, has been hailed as the latest hero of a famed country football club.
Port Lincoln's Mallee Park Football Club, which has produced AFL stars Graham Johncock, Shaun and Peter Burgoyne and Byron Pickett, is toasting Chris Kent.
He used all the stamina he shows on the football field to swim to safety when the boat capsized off the Eyre Peninsula on Wednesday.
