Well the new charges have come thru for Austar from October 1/2006 and we are being charged $14:95 per month EXTRA to get Fox Sports 1,2,3 & ESPN and Eurosports,where as they used to be FREE.....

No more sports for me.....Thanks Austar

Fox Sports 1 & 2 were included in the Basic package. ESPN was one of the optional packages and of course Fox Sports 3 doesn't exist yet.

If you choose to take the new packages you get the basic package with Fox Sports 1, 2 & 3 along with ESPN and Fox Sports News for only an extra $2.

Whilst the repackaging is really aimed at getting extra money from subscribers it isn't all that much in reality.

note; i don't have foxtel.

The official reason is to allow those who don't like sports to choose those channels as an option.

The real reason, IMHO, is to be able to charge for Fox Sports 3, which they would have struggled to do as they included the other two in the basic package.

I personally don't mind the repackaging but it does annoy me that we lose Fox Footy and still have to pay more.

Well Fox Footy was in the same bundle as UK TV. Hope now I dont have to pay extra. Cant miss EastEnders!!!!!!!!!

Yeh i agree with Eddie, i like the new package, i hadnt changed to digital before as i was pissed off bcos i didnt want to lose Comedy channel or History channel but when the new changes come in i took History as the seperate package on its own for $2.95 n thought i wld sacrifice the Comedy channel...but for some reason I still have comedy channel even though i havent paid for it...BONUS!!

I love the new sports package now cos i finally get ESPN and i love watchin the poker..
