Rock Star 2

After the success of Rock Star: INXS, the second installment gets under way on Wednesday (FOX8).

This time around, the band involved is called Supernova, and it currently comprises Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Gilby Clarke (Guns 'N' Roses) and Jason Newstead (Metallica).

No prizes for guessing what type of music Supernova will be playing with that line-up!

the 3 singers i like so far are, Dalana i think her name is from Sth Africa,Toby from Melbourne,and Lukas.

I also hear that Alice In Chains will be doing a serious like this after the death of lead singer Layne Stanley back in around 2002.

i just watched the 2hr finale of rockstar supernova,and the 1st to go was Magni,then the 2nd to go was Toby,which i was very suprised about,then they picked out the winner which was Lukas,Gilby said to Dilana that he will he write and produce the songs with Dilana..

Rand didn't make the band

AUSTRALIA'S Toby Rand has won worldwide fame and a temporary bed at Tommy Lee's Malibu mansion, but has missed out on the dream gig.

Before a global TV audience of tens of millions today, Lee announced the shock decision Rand would not be the lead singer of his new all-star rock band, Supernova.

Lukas Rossi, a 29-year-old from Canada, won the coveted gig.

Rand, a carpet store employee from Melbourne, was considered the favourite to win the reality TV show Rockstar: Supernova and front Lee's Supernova band on a North American tour, but he came third.

"I can't look at it like a negative," Rand, 28, told reporters after the show. "I really can't.

I thought Lukas was definitley the worst out of the final 4 - and he got up!!?? What do I know...

They should immediately sack Lukas, scrap the shitty songs they have and hire Toby and write some kick ass songs. From what I've already heard the songs are woeful and I would even download the album let alone buy it.
