I am a Pies supporter, which takes up a lot of my time. If you could have any kind of robot what would it be? |

Joel,
I did what he suggested;
ok now you can visit a torrent site as joel has stated above.... we'll do a test run.... visit
http://members.optusnet.com.au/spook182/sites/cfc2006/cfc2006.html
Next to the collingwood vs carlton game click on site 1.
This should automatically download the torrent....just click open no need to save.
When finished downloading it should automatically open Azureus.
When I clicked the 1 it dowloaded an Excel doc. |

That shouldn't happen.
Did you click them file, and then did it bring up the save box? Once this occured did you click open, and not save?
You must click open with Azureus for it to work. |

Well are you saying I should open Azurius first and enter the URL?
I didn't do that, I just clicked on the number 1 next to the game suggested.
It just downloaded an excel file.
Something missing from the steps I think guys! |

No need to open Azureus, before you click the file.
When you go to the site, click on Site 1 for the Pies V North game. A box should then open asking you to save, or open it in Azureus. You need to click to open it in Azureus. |

OK I just tried it again Joel.
This is the message I get:
You have chosen to open
(Spk).AFL.2006.Rd21.Collingwood.Vs.Carlton.torrent
which is a binary file.
What would you like to do with this file?
Open with...................
Save to disk.
I click save to disk and get the Excel gobbledy-gook. |

Just had an idea.
I tried to open with Safari instead of Firefox and it has opened two windows.
One showing Azurius window and the other asking me to do something or other but listing Carlton vs Collingwood.
Ok progress.....now I'll try to get it to do something.
Thanks |

Ok it's working now Joel........it's downloading the file......looks like it'll take hours......but it's working.
Is there a faster way to see the file rather than downloading it....or is this a really dumb question?
Secondly.......how do I find On the Couch etc? Should I look in Aussie torrents?
Cheers and thanks again. |

Neil, not sure why Firefox was producing that problem - I have Firefox. It will take a while to download because it depends on how many people are sharing it. That game would have been quicker last week because more people would have been sharing it.
Someone else might have to ask your question abotu viewing it as it downloads because I've never checked to see if that is possible. |

Checked it this morning before work Joel, and a file sits on my desktop but as soon as I opened the computer there was a message asking about a firewall or something.
Clicked the file and got a Quicktime message saying it couldn't open the file.
Oh well.
At least I'm a little closer. |
