I got an email today and it said.....

Be a little bit careful Alyssa. Sometimes people organise these things and get you to pay money to get onto their coffee table book.

I'm very surprised my dad wasnt suspicious! He would normally say something like "what are you doing?! Your lying to us arent you! What is it that you are doing!" No-one ever believes me!
He actually didnt believe me that Jarrod wasnt playing and then he saw I was very shattered and he's like "oh well, who cares!" he always teases me and Jarrod! tsk tsk tsk! lolz

Alyssa,

I don't want to sound like a wet blanket, but I've heard about this very thing before (even on the radio) and it's very dodgy.

If it's legit then congrats, but it sounds like a scam to me. Just be careful about agreeing to anything, signing off on anything, providing any personal details, etc.
