We should delist Mark Richardson and thats it.
Rhyce Shaw should be kept! I think his still got alot of promise but needs to deliver next year. Face it, the only thing thats going against him is he does not get the hard ball. But he is still a good receiver and uses the ball well and has pace. Remember you do need receivers in your team who deliver the ball well, and thats what Rhyce Shaw does have. Anyway we dont have high picks in the draft so its more than likely we wont pick anybody better.
PS- Keep Ben Kinnear, he is a tall defender that will be handy if injuries happen to our big men. Ben is a tall who can play anywhere and who will help.

Wow, de-list Richo! Even though he qualifies for half payment in the cap and has a wealth of experience.

Does anybody know how many players we are going to have on our list?
If we have 40 (38plus 2 veterans - Buckley and Richardson), it means we have got 5 picks in the draft (which includes Cameron Cloke)
Also consideration must be given to upgrading rookies -
Podsiadly and Justin Crow may be better options than picks 32, 64

Magpies confirm delistings

Collingwood has confirmed the delisting of five players, with Scott Cummings, Chad Rintoul, Andrew Dimattina, Andrew R Hill and Andrew J Hill dropped from the senior playing list.
The Pies had advised the players that they would be departing and merely confirmed the fact on Thursday, the deadline for clubs to submit lists of no more than 35 players to the AFL by 2pm.
The Magpies senior list sits at the required 35, with Shane Woewodin and Andrew Williams joining the Pies via trade and Nick Davis and Damien Adkins departing by the same method. Cameron Cloke has been officially added to the list, following his brother Jason to Victoria Park under the father-son rule.
In addition to the five delisted players, Tyson Lane retired early in the season.

Can anyone actually tell me why Rhyce Shaw is staying?
It really pisses me off that a bloke who has shown little or no ability at this level would be retained on the achievements of his Father and Uncle!!!!!
Maybe this is harsh on Rhyce coz maybe it's not the reason or his fault, but it appears to me that many better players have been delisted in the past from our club and this year by other clubs.
Go the mighty Pies in 2003!!!! |

Obviously the people in charge think he's better than the person we would get with our third draft pick, 40 whatever it is. I don't know, I hope he's got a damn good work ethic, or he probably wont be going places.

He's very lucky to still be there, and he better cash in a bit of the potential that got him drafted ASAP, or he's a sure a bet to be delisted next year.
That said, he's still a Pie, and as such he gets my full support.
