Post subject: US weapons deals | |
|
I was interested to hear that Rumsfield earlier this year, said that the US PREFER that countries not sell weapons to countries on the terrorist list.
Yet i noticed that from 2001 to 04 the middle east arms sales from the US were as follows.
Egypt $5.7 Billion
Israel $4.4 Billion
Kuwait $1.8 Billion
U.A.E $7.1 Billion
Saudi Arabia $3.8 Billion and more than $39 Billion since 1990 and the oil rich saudi's pay in cash.
Iran bought weapons in the 70s at an estimated $8 billion back then.
So i guess he was right in saying the word PREFER.
Oh well get your orders in!!! |

Haven't seen it yet cathalyst.
But have heard a lot about it. Loved the movie Blow and sounds similar to that except arms.
Like the end quote.
It's like Yuri says in the film "it's not our war and no matter what we do we can't stop it" and that's true it's like smoking kills people every day but there are people who run cigarette companies everyday knowing that they are killing people every single day and getting people addicted to something that in the end will kill them. Is that moral? What can we do to stop it? These are questions this film asks and leaves it to the viewer to decide on. |
