I was there also.

What a day.....looked bad at quarter time with Rowduy out for the count but we came out in the 2nd and played some red hot footy.

Three things I will never forget...

One the release of emotion following Dougie Barwick's goal. Years of disappointment and heartache just released in a single moment for so many people. Still makes my hair stand when i watch it again....

Two, the presentation to the players. To see players in our jumpers get premiership medallions was awesome. My throat was in pain from cheering by the time the cup was raised...

Three, the scenes at Vic park afterwards....mindblowing...the collingwood family rejoicing....!

I am looking forward to the day when we all have that opportunity to do it again!! (and again...and again!!!)

Didn't go but had my own private sitting in friend's lounge room.

Had waited since 1958.

Got a couple of pies, a few beers and stuck a blank tape in the vid player.

Then thoroughly enjoyed every bloody glorious second of the game.

My friend (rugby league man) came in during the last quarter and asked, "What are you ****ing grinning about, mate. You look like you've won the ****ing lottery"

"Better than that" says I "but you wouldn't understand, mate"

Watched the game again on Sunday.

On the Monday, got all the papers and read the match reports and looked at the photos over and over.

A wonderful memory, burned into my memory forever.

I went, saw every final that year and the only games I missed in 1990 were the interstate games (I went to the Sydney game). Great feeling after the game but I still think I had a better feeling after going to Adelaide and watching us beat Port Adelaide in the final.

I had the great fortune to be at the 90 GF at the age of 16. I was particularly devastated and vocal when Rowdy went down...I still haven't forgiven TD for that or Kieren SPorn for making Rowdy want to hit him in the first place. I remember starting to celebrate in the last quarter and my dad getting really annoyed - he wasn't letting his guard down one inch, not until the final siren - he's seen too many losing ones. It was amazing, and the after party at Vic Park that night were unforgettable, even though every bone in my body was almost broken from the crush of the crowd when the boys hit the stage. The pubs surrouding Vic Park were run dry and the streets were closed down. It was pure, unadultered pandemonium! We stayed there all night for the Family Day following. It has to go down as one of my greatest memories and I felt very fortunate to be there considering they hadn't done it since '58.

No, Rach.

This one I named Auntie Jack because it ripped a bloody arm off one of my fave rats. I caught it and took it up the bush. I don't mind the montys eating the ordinary rats but that one did the wrong thing. It grabbed Tammy's arm and tried to pull her out of the cage.

One night I woke up to a commotion coming from the rat's cage so jumped out of bed and found a monty INSIDE the cage. Tammy, Cleopatra, Romeo, Juliet and Nostradarmus were attacking it !! I taught them to stand up for themselves. The snake was desperately trying to find a way out. I rescued it and took it over the creek and let it go.

I imagined it sliding off, looking back, and thinking, "They're all bloody crazy in that house !!" Lol.
