MM interviews Brittain

Mick Moulthouse today interviewed Wayne Brittain for the assistant coach position, i seriously reckon we should look at taking him

when i said i just loved the way carlton played under him,i wasnt praising brittain you know.

It's really very hard to accurately rate Brittain as a coach for two main reasons. First reason being he had a shocking list at his disposal this year, and a team that didn't even seem to try for a lot of the time. Secondly, in the years preceding his appointment there was that whole messy business about who was actually coaching Carlton - Brittain or Parkin. I myself couldn't tell, and if he gets hired by us, we'll be doing him a favour.

I think its a great move.
Brittain did take Carlton to a PF in 2000 and Parkin has said that he was a fantastic Assistant Coach.

The thing that I do like about Brittain is his clubmanship and his work ethic. He didn't do one thing against Carlton, and it was disgraceful the way they got rid of him, even by footy standards. And in that whole year he never stopped trying, he was the only one standing up for his players. He worked so damn hard, and in a year he'd and Carlton would rather forget, he at least achieved one thing. He got a fir bit of Corey McKernan's confidence back. Now we'll see whether Denis Pagan can keep it since everything he tried basically failed back at North.

i think if we have the opportunity to get brittian we get him and get him fast, he has experiance, he's taken carlton to a PF and a SF in 2001 and it would be awesome to have to great minds in our coaches box for 2002! i say we dive on him!
