COMEDIAN and character actor Robert Donner, known for his roles in television shows Mork and Mindy and The Waltons, as well as films including Cool Hand Luke has died aged 75.

Donner died last Thursday at home in Sherman Oaks, California, from a heart attack, said his former agent Michael Belson.
Donner played the part of Exidor in Mork and Mindy and of Yancy Tucker in The Waltons.

He guest-starred on TV series such as Bonanza, Columbo, The Six Million Dollar Man, Dharma & Greg and Matlock.

Donner's film credits also included Bite the Bullet, Vanishing Point and John Wayne westerns, among them El Dorado and Chisum.

He was also a founding member of Harvey Lembeck's improvised-comedy group, The Crazy Quilt Comedy Company.

Donner is survived by his wife, Jill, and two of his brothers.
