Post subject: Question about suspensions...Reply with quote

If a player gets a suspension that carries over to the new year (ie Cloke suspended in preliminary final for two matches) is the suspension served in the pre-season competition the Wizard cup or in the Home and Away season?
I know it was pre-season but I'm not sure if that was changed.

They'll miss games in the season; NOT the W/Cup

It should never be served during the pre-season comp anyhow. I know it sucks when our players are involved, particularly when they don't deserve all they get...but if suspensions could be served in pre-season then I'm sure alot more players would be lining up at the tribunal following the GF. Missing the pre-season comp is hardly like missing a game during the season. When Gavin Brown was suspended after the GF in 1990 he was out for 2 or 3 wks and the suspension made mention that the night series was on top of the suspension. For agruments sake, if Aker took out Bucks and got 4 wks for it but was able to serve it out in Wizard Cup and line up for Round 1, we would not be happy.

I know the name alone suggests breaking into a fit of laughter...it's hypothetical, but I'm aware you know that. It's the female in me that has to make sure you know where I'm coming from

Pity Lica didn't cave Akers head in.
Where's the report for the belting Josh received when taking a mark?
