Saturday started off so well with Joffa's usual sermon at the Cricketers' Arms. I took my can along and have now posted some pics at our Buckley Surfers site. For those of you who don't know our site it is at www.buckleysurfers.com

Just click on this week's match review which is headed "The Big Ask - Are we spent?" and then scroll down to the links. Most pages on the site have been updated already and our match reviews should be ready soon enough.

We hope to see as many of you as possible at the heathen scum ground on Friday night. We are in section W Row E which apparently is the cheer squad area and the best way to work us out is to spot Driver Jnr who is only 8 years old and has #19 on his back. If you are picking up tickets at Gate 2 (like we are) get there real early, grab your tickets and then head to The Lakes Hotel which is right next to the shopping centre near the ground (where McDonald's is - you can't miss it, just walk around to behind the big scoreboard). Let's make it a big one.

For those staying home - make sure you shout loud enough for us to hear you over there!

I agree with ED....its great to be able to put names to faces etc.
Its about time that it happened.
When the squad is in S.A. some one get a 'class of 2002' photo and put the names to faces...That will help all us interstaters.
Any advance on that suggestion?????????????

On Friday I will be taking not one, but two, digital cameras to the game. I have got my hands on one with a 16x optical zoom which means I can get greater close ups of the action. I am not sure if we will make the car park gathering depending on how long the "collect your tickets" line will be. But we will be in among the cheer squad on Friday night and I will take some pics which again I will post on our site when we eventually get back from Adelaide.

How come everybody else can access the photos and I can't!? Everytime I click the link it says 'this page cannot be displayed' & when i tried to go through the buckleysurfers thing on the magpies.net homepage it didn't work either! No fair! I wanna see everybody!

Lisey, sometimes we get so many downloads at our site that the server (Geocities) suspends our pages for a while because we exceed their traffic limits. On one auspicious occasion last year after the Copeland Trophy (or maybe it was after some training pics I posted) the Geocities automatic software realised that all the hits were on pictures and because of the downloaded amounts it assumed it was pornography and wiped all the pics from its servers. Lucky I had them backed up.

Usually I refrain from posting "check out the pics" messages because it would send the servers haywore again but I thought I should let you all know about these ones. Many times what will happen is that someone will discover the site and then download every single pic on it (often schoolkids doing projects on Bucks). Given we have over 25MB of pictures on the site at the moment, you can imagine what it does to our download limits. If this was a commercial site we would buy bigger server space but this is a hobby that costs us money (and deprives us of sleep).

Having said all that you should be able to get to the pics now. If you can't just email me and I will email them to you.
