Scottie is such a good guy to have around and it's good to see he has still got plenty of support despite a dismal year.
The powers that be will decide.

I'm sick of keeping players just "cause he's a good bloke"
We did it with Lee Walker; return to club; zero.
We did it with Mark Orchard; even did it twice!; return to club; zero.

Though Scotty's a great guy, this is a footy club and we are in the game to win premierships.
Carlscum have 16
essenscum have 15
We have 14!

So, good guy or not, he is holding a coveted spot on our list. if we need a player to be regularly available that possie may need to be filled by someone else.

Scotty is very good at the intangibles, like being a good clubman. Forget his lack of contribution the field. He is effectively number 38 on the list so hasn't cost us match. Maybe they should put him through a medical though.

Black_White beat me to it!

Blanch's "Good clubman from WA" reasoning means we should STILL have WALKER - I was blasted by many here because I promoted getting rid of him while Walker was a listed player(a long time ago - geez, is that how long I've been coming here?).

Good blokes who don't play don't win premierships. The medallions go only to the guys who get on the field and play. Can it BE more simple?

Really?
Sorry Tess, I have a habit of blanking out unpleasant memories. And any Essenscum victory is an unpleasant one!!

If Cummings is in the reserves / injured when Molloy barely played hit syear, what chance does he have of playing next year when hopefully molloy will play a lot more games? Not much.

Having said that he's not costing us much, so it's not too bad, just a spot on the list really.

Pies for Premiers 2002, 3, 4, 5, 6....

Scott Cummings is going to be a magpie next year and the year after he will bounce back and prove everyone wrong. A great club man and must be kept at the club.

Scotty was the best host of magpie TV on foxtel so maybe we could keep him on as the fulltime host for next year. It would be good to keep him on the list if he was fit enough but his body just isn't up to league footy these days. With only 38 positions on the list we're better off going for another youngster in the draft.
