Heard on the AW rumor file this morning that Kane Johnson could be coming to Vic park as part of the Carey deal.

Will be much more complicated though.

Having Kane would be good if he is injury free.

A while ago I posted a thread stating that Kane Johnson was going to be part of the trade for Carey. Also expect to see one of Adelaides talls get traded in the deal as well. Not going to reveal who yet but it wont be long before all names a brandied about.
It wont be our 2nd round pick, it will probably be our 1st. Our 2nd pick is Cameron Cloke. Using our 1st is still a good get for Johnson, he's an established young bloke who'll slot in just nicely in the middle. North could get our 1st pick, Adelaides 2nd and the Adelaide tall.

Would be more to this Trade if it was possible.

Adelaide would not give Johnson, a tall and pick 2 for Carey surely. As long as it isn't us I don't Care what they give that's a bad deal IMO. If I were Adelaide I would start by signing Carey to a contract to bind him to the club offerring pick no 5 and make North sweat for a while. Offer a last minute deal for pick no 2 and a player they don't need. North can't negotiate with a club Carey won't go to. As long as Carey stands firm and Adelaide have some resolve they could do alright.

Our first pick for Johnson is not bad but I would rather know who is in the draft and likely to be available by our pick. Like most players, there is always a Collingwood trade rumour. I will believe it when I see it. If we did get Johnston we woulsd be a bit ovwerloaded with midfielders. Some would have to go. There are a few obvious candidates but I think we would have to do some serious trading to get a decent ruckman. If we got Johnson, players of the ilk of Scottland would be tradable with draft choices for the right ruckman.
