I tend to believe the All-Australian side's become a bit of a rort, as they now play Ireland in the Hybrid Series. You rarely see the total loggy ruckmen ever chosen anymore, even if they've been the best that year. They usually go for the more-mobile types. Of the Pies:
* Leon Davis - potentially the small-forward position, although it's likely to go to Milne.
** Alan Didak - could surprise given his second half of the year. Might be a "reserve."
Nathan Buckley - automatic inclusion, even if it's only on the bench this year.
James Clement - would imagine he'd be selected, (if not be the goalkeeper!). Probably one of the best (if not the best) versatile defender in the League that he can play on both smalls & talls.
Scott Burns - should get selected, doubt he'll be recognized.
Paul Licuria - probably one of the best attacking-taggers in the League. However, has to contend with Adam Simpson for the spot.
Anthony Rocca - would've been a shoe-in at the halfway mark of the season.
Tarkyn Lockyer - should make it, if not only on the bench. Has been consistent.
* Josh Fraser - again, on the second-half of the season he's done well.
The guys I've marked with *, I wouldn't be surprised if they were selected as "reserves" so they could be included to play against Ireland. I've marked Didak ** because considering the soccer-skills he's shown, he'd be just about a must with the round-ball!
Otherwise, the only three I think are really a chance for selection are Buckley, Clement, and Licuria or Burns, (one or the other of the last two, but not both).

The actual All-Australian team is still chosen on merit and in their particular positions, etc.
They then add players that would be best suited to the hybrid game to play against Ireland. eg. Adam Goodes.
Bucks, Tarks, Lica, and Burnsie would be my tips for selection in the REAL All-Aussie team.

Presti's underrated by just about all the media. The only guy I've heard give him big raps, believe it or not, is Kevin Bartlett when he commentates Collingwood match.
