its possible to still lose the last 2 and finish 4th..That would b shite but its possible going on todays results. If we lose tomorrow the confidence will hit rock bottom..need a big win and some run and confidence back going into the finals.

the confidence thing is the one thta is a worry... the boys need a lift! we know that they have improved more than anyone could really have asked this year, but it would be great if they went a bit further.

We will win, be it either easy or tough.

Reasons:

1. Every team is in the same boat - injuries at the end of a long season weakening stars. We have players a bit flat, but so have they.

2. The Saints are only playing for pride, we are playing for the finals.

3. We will be fired up to do well. No one wants to be embarrassed. We are 4th and they are 15th. There's a good reason for that.

4. 3 of our recent losses have been to Geelong, Hawthorn and Essendon who have played some of their best football of the year against us...why do they always choose us? When we lose the other lot have to play well.

5. We are not living in the past. We are a new team that has proven itself to be full of talent commitment and running. We will prove this.

6. And not least we have MM and a top team overseeing the whole Shebang. They know what is needed. So do the players.

The football gods have smiled on us this week, with Melbourne and Geelong going under. We have a chance now to virtually wrap up the 4th spot with a thumping win over St.Kilda. This will make round 22 virtually a dead rubber ... great chance to have a power nap and come out with all guns blazing in the finals.

Despite our abysmal recent form, we are in a very, very strong position to have a real crack at the flag. If we can recapture our form of three months ago we WILL win the flag.

as alf and others have said, results this w/end have given us the chance to wrap it up today. a good solid win over the saints will cement top 4. but dont underestimate the saints - not sure what thomas was on about last week when he bagged his own players...i thought they were reasonable against the swans at the scg. to go down by just 7 up there looks even better given the swans thumping of the dees yesterday. this is not a walkover.
