Ok I usually post this thread in Tazza's name and it was great that Tazza bagged four in the last term and set up another with a great chase and tackle but I thought I'd pay tribute to Mckee.
What a great game he played till he came off. I in the past haven't gone as far as others here in bagging the guy but I must admit a while back I wasn't a huge fan of him. Let me state that I was wrong wrong wrong wrong and wrong. He is playing fantastic footy and I admire how hard he is working with second and third efforts. He's not a guy with a heap of natural ability like other players but he is giving it everything and I admire that greatly.
Onya Macca!!!!!!!!

It is the type of story which makes football clubs. The hack who comes good and wins a flag. Steve plays for respect every week and he knows it. I can't say I am his greatest fan but I am a great admirer of his endevours and what he had done this year. I still don't think he forms part of out long term futrure because he cannot ruck in the centre to save himself. He is a good kick behind the play follower and can get forward on occassions and kick a goal. He has been in great form around the ground this year (mostly in a defensive capacity) and generally tried (with limited success) to nullify better tap ruckman at the centre bounces. His boundry work is more than adequate.
Keep up the good word Steve. You may well make everyone eat their words when you play on the last Saturday in September and take Mr. Primus to the cleaners. Collingwood folklaw awaits you.

I like stunner because he makes a mockery of the criticisms directed at our recruitment staff. every time he performs well, it's another slap in the face to those who said that we copped the arse end of the deal from the clinton king trade. look at c'wood's position, and look at richmond's. it's also a slap in the face to those who have continually bagged him and abused him at the game.
yes, I agree...let's have a mckee appreciation society. I'll join

I think Steve has been fantastic this year - not only has he stepped up a level but he's also been a consistent performer. Well done Macca.
I'll definitely join SMAS or is it SAS?
GO PIES!
