I wonder how many jobs the AFL had come up over the off season?

I wonder how many of them went to people who belonged to the established footy family? While I can understand footy jobs going to footy people, I am not sympathetic to the other jobs also going to the established footy family.

I wonder who that criminal the AFL employed in their membership department, and who subsequently stole hundreds of thousands of dollars the supporters paid into the AFL, knew in the AFL? Interesting to see her list of referees, what!

Funny thing is that Collingwood does not seem to be in on it. It appears to me, that there is no ex-Collingwood bodies within the AFL. I guess it is the price we pay for being a club unto ourselves for so long.

As I have said before, the issue of conflict of interests is not a clear and concise thing. But surely it arises in cases of nepotism. If you are related to someone within the footy fraternity, and you apply for a job within the AFL, and all things being equal, you end up with the job, surely that is a case of nepotism.

As far as I can see the AFL is being ran by a bunch of people who all know each other, or whose family members know each other.

Rule 1. Barrack for Collingwood
Rule 2. See rule 1.
Rule 3. There is no rule 3.

Greg, you forgot to include in your rationalisation that Wayne Jackson is actually a South Australian. That in itself should be enough to answer your query.

Where you are from is immaterial. My point is, that I suspect in far too many cases, that non footy jobs go to people who have a nexus to the existing footy establishment. My point is more pertinent to who is the Director of Finance and Administration (non footy) or some entry level clerical or communications role, than the Director of Umpires (footy), State Coaches, or such. The Chairman's role is all encompassing, so for the sake of my arguement, his is a footy job.

Rule 1. Barrack for Collingwood
Rule 2. See rule 1.
Rule 3. There is no rule 3.
